Mistral AI Broadens Scope: User Data and Search Results Now Used for Training

Effective March 12, 2026, the new update from Mistral AI’s Commercial Terms states that customer data and outputs can now be used to train its AI models for free subscribers, Le Chat Pro users (unless opted-out), and Labs Model users. (line 79)

Labs Models are introduced as experimental pre-release models exclusive to commercial customers. Data from these models is used for training by default, and opt-out options from other Mistral AI products do not apply. (line 81)

Restrictions on web-search results are lifted, allowing users to build databases, resell data, or train independent AI models. (line 68)
