Race and Gender Identity References Disappear From LinkedIn’s Harassment Guidelines

On July 29, 2025, LinkedIn updated its Community Guidelines section on harassment and abusive content, removing explicit references to race and gender identity.

Before:

Content that negatively targets others on the basis of inherent traits, like race or gender identity, is enforced under our [Hateful and Derogatory Content]

After:

Content that negatively targets others on the basis of inherent traits is enforced under our [Hateful and Derogatory Content]

Also removed from the examples of hateful and derogatory content:

Misgendering or deadnaming of transgender individuals
