LinkedIn updated its Privacy Policy, effective from 03.11.2025, adding more detail about how user data may be used to train AI systems. The update also states that certain data is shared with the parent company Microsoft for training its AI models. The platform advises users not to provide “special category data” such as health, genetic, biometric, racial or ethnic information, or political or religious views.

LinkedIn does not encourage you to provide data that includes genetic, biometric and health data, or data revealing racial and ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or ideological convictions or trade union membership (“Special Category Data”) when using our Services. (line 103)
