On 26.08.2025 Spotify introduced Messages, a new feature where you can share content and react with text and emojis. Spotify added information about Messages in their Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

New in Terms of Service:

We may provide you with the ability to post or share User Content in different ways on the Spotify Service, including by sending messages or communications to other Spotify users. (151)

New in Privacy Policy:

If messaging is available in your market and where you’ve chosen to use messaging, we collect and process message data. Message data means text or other content you send directly to another user. (190)
